Having embraced e-commerce by signing up to our TyreClick network, Culcheth Tyres made the next step and added our fully integrated Garage Management System, Simple GMS
The team at Culcheth Tyres had already made tenative steps in digitalising their business by recording their bookings in Microsoft Outlook's calendar. However, they felt that with two tyre bays, two ramps and an MOT bay, Outlook was somewhat cumbersome.
Culcheth Tyres contacted Silkmoth for a demonstration of our Simple GMS garage management system and within 24 hours they were up and running. Now Culcheth Tyres are growing their customer database, creating invoices in a single click and using text messages for MOT and service reminders.
The business's TyreClick website is also fully wired up to their Simple GMS opening their calendar so that tyre and MOT bookings can drop straight in.
Culcheth Tyres have also embraced the Simple GMS Check-in application that allows customers to add and update their own record in their database. The means that their data is accurate and fully compliant with GDPR legislation.
We adopted Simple GMS in January 2022 and within a couple of days we were using the system to plan our workshop and to send professional invoices to customers. In just a few months we’ve built up a substantial customer database that we can use to generate future business. We use the VRM lookup service extensively and use the system to send text messages to notify customers their work is complete. The check-in app means that customers add their own details to our database which speeds things up and means the data is accurate. Any garage still working on paper or a desk calendar should seriously consider using Simple GMS.
