No Nonsense
The Brief: A simple brochure site to reflect the customer's philosophy of "No Nonsense"
The Solution: Straightforward and to the point site with content management to support marketing effort
No Nonsense Marketing has one aim: to make sure that your marketing makes money for your business.
Silkmoth helps small companies to make a big impression
It’s true that anyone can have a website, but a poorly structured or obviously “home made” website leaves customers cold. Silkmoth works with companies large and small to make sure that their websites do them justice. The beauty of the web is that even the smallest company can make a big impression, and a good example is the website which Silkmoth created for No Nonsense Marketing.
No Nonsense Marketing is the trading name of marketing consultant, Penny Lines. When the name of your company is “No Nonsense Marketing”, your website has to talk the talk and walk the walk. Penny realised – and Silkmoth confirmed – that only a professionally produced, well designed website would do.
Perfect planning
No Nonsense Marketing often works with its own clients to improve and overhaul their websites, so Penny had prepared a site structure and draft copy, but that was just the start. Penny explains: “I simply cannot overstate the value of the advice given by Silkmoth on the structure, content and maintenance of No Nonsense’s website. Their input on the navigation and the content management system in particular has been fantastic.
"The website walks and talks the No Nonsense brand. It’s clear, simple and straightforward. It does everything that No Nonsense advises its own clients to do - in a far more sophisticated way than I thought possible, thanks to Silkmoth’s involvement.”
One of the most important aspects of No Nonsense Marketing’s website was the ability for Penny to be able to update the content herself. After a half-day training session at Silkmoth’s offices on Silkmoth’s WireNet content management system, Penny was able to amend the content of every page, set up page descriptions, add keywords to help the search engines and upload No Nonsense Marketing’s “Tricks of the Trade” documents which visitors can download free of charge.
Future flexibility
Silkmoth also made sure that the site structure could be easily adapted to reflect trends and changing marketing disciplines. If No Nonsense Marketing adds a blogging service into its portfolio, or wants to highlight the importance of marketing in an economic downturn, for example, the website can accommodate the updates without undue expense.
No Nonsense Marketing’s website went live in January 2008 to critical acclaim. “I had a lot of feedback from my network of businesspeople before the site went live,” Penny explains. “Everyone was genuinely impressed and the only problem is that I now have a lot more ideas! Happily, working with Silkmoth, I’ll be able to select the ones that will really work – not just now, but in the long-term. You can’t put a price on that peace of mind. Silkmoth’s understanding of the online world and its customers is genuine – and rare. Highly recommended!”
