The Brief: Improve the look, feel and performance of a site selling hydroponics (soilless growing) products
The Solution: A Kentico e-Commerce site with custom product management
Holland Hydroponics is a successful retail operation selling hydroponics equipment and consumables from two retail operations. The current website was dated in design and was not making best use of the significant traffic it was already receiving.
The objective of the project was to improve the design, increase traffic and improve conversion rates and average order value.
Working with the client and their team of business advisors and graphic designers we developed a new website that enabled a large number of products to be managed on-line with the pricing regularly uploaded from a spreadsheet maintained by their back-office systems. This gives the client the ability to maintain product photography and details easily using Kentico’s content management system but to maintain pricing information more conveniently in a spreadsheet offline.
The new website is an excellent, fresh design that allows cross-selling and up-selling of products and, in addition, offers an "order online and pay on pick-up in store" option which is proving very popular.
