Silkmoth has again convinced a major blue chip company that the company has what it takes to build innovative technical sites that meet current business need.
GE Commercial Finance, Fleet Services are the worlds’ largest supplier of vehicle leasing and fleet management solutions. Silkmoth has been working with GE Commercial Finance, Fleet Services for six years to enable GE to build on their promise to tailor car fleets to the individual needs of their clients. Previously Silkmoth supplied software packages that GE sent to Fleet Managers under the brand names of Avis Fleet Services, Cochranes Fleet Services and Leasecontracts. The company has decided that the time is right to make more advanced services available to their customers online through a new and improved web site.
The new web site, iProfile, will help GE customers to develop their car fleet policies through a sophisticated online system. Fleet managers will be able to create a driver profile for each driver in their organisation e.g. Sales People, Directors etc. They can then create a vehicle policy for each vehicle range that the company wishes to offer e.g. Small hatchbacks, Diesel Estates, Executive Cars. Finally the site will generate a quote for each driver profile and vehicle policy combination e.g. all Executive Cars for Directors.
Additional information can be provided to the Fleet Manager and subsequently the company employee to assist them with their choice of car. This includes price, personal tax liability of the vehicle, MPG, engine size and CO2 emissions. Much of this information can help GE customers to accurately predict the long term costs to themselves and their employees of their fleet.
The Managing Director of Silkmoth, Keith Jones said
"We are absolutely delighted to be continuing our long relationship with GE Commercial Finance, Fleet Services. The new contract demonstrates the cost effectiveness and usability of Silkmoth products and the company’s ability to respond to the changing needs of its customers."
