Silkmoth has recently helped two UK companies to build business links with customers in Poland. Integrated Dental Holdings is the UK’s largest owner of dental practices offering NHS and private dental care. Car Transplants is a Nantwich based company that recycles car parts from scrapped vehicles.
Both companies approached Silkmoth to see how they could make their services visible to Polish citizens. Integrated Dental Holdings were keen to recruit Polish dentists and Car Transplants had spotted a potential market for their second hand car spares.
The websites that Silkmoth has developed overcome a major problem for British sites trying to advertise abroad. Search engines such as Google, have become so sophisticated that if a person in Poland tries to search for a product or job they are most likely to be shown a local web site rather than an overseas one.
Silkmoth have relationships with hosting facilities all over Europe including Poland. The Polish language Integrated Dental Holdings website for instance is delivered from servers physically located in Poland. Car Transplants and Integrated Dental Holdings are appearing much higher in Polish search engine results than UK based equivalents.
Both companies are benefiting from increased visitors and enquiries from Polish citizens.
Managing Director of Silkmoth Keith Jones said
"There have been some negative comments made in the media about the latest accession states to join the EU. Here at Silkmoth we are proving that new markets can be effectively opened up with these countries to the immense benefit of British companies."

Silkmoth has again convinced a major blue chip company that the company has what it takes to build innovative technical sites that meet current business need.
GE Commercial Finance, Fleet Services are the worlds’ largest supplier of vehicle leasing and fleet management solutions. Silkmoth has been working with GE Commercial Finance, Fleet Services for six years to enable GE to build on their promise to tailor car fleets to the individual needs of their clients. Previously Silkmoth supplied software packages that GE sent to Fleet Managers under the brand names of Avis Fleet Services, Cochranes Fleet Services and Leasecontracts. The company has decided that the time is right to make more advanced services available to their customers online through a new and improved web site.
The new web site, iProfile, will help GE customers to develop their car fleet policies through a sophisticated online system. Fleet managers will be able to create a driver profile for each driver in their organisation e.g. Sales People, Directors etc. They can then create a vehicle policy for each vehicle range that the company wishes to offer e.g. Small hatchbacks, Diesel Estates, Executive Cars. Finally the site will generate a quote for each driver profile and vehicle policy combination e.g. all Executive Cars for Directors.
Additional information can be provided to the Fleet Manager and subsequently the company employee to assist them with their choice of car. This includes price, personal tax liability of the vehicle, MPG, engine size and CO2 emissions. Much of this information can help GE customers to accurately predict the long term costs to themselves and their employees of their fleet.
The Managing Director of Silkmoth, Keith Jones said
"We are absolutely delighted to be continuing our long relationship with GE Commercial Finance, Fleet Services. The new contract demonstrates the cost effectiveness and usability of Silkmoth products and the company’s ability to respond to the changing needs of its customers."

Lake Technologies Ltd supply a comprehensive range of business communication services that include voice telephone network services, data networks, answer phone systems and call recording.
Silkmoth were commissioned to develop a new web site to replace the one that Lake had had for a number of years. The site that has been launched this week contains more detailed and informative content than its predecessor. The style, visual impact and brand awareness have also been improved.
In addition the new site utilises Silkmoth WireNet™ technology. This has enabled staff at Lake Technologies to incorporate an electronic Newsletter module onto their site which allows visitors to register, receive documents (case studies, business cases etc) and also to receive a regular newsletter.
Although it is still very early days, the site is already receiving more visitors than the old one. Lake Technologies are regularly updating the content and establishing ongoing contact with regular and prospective customers.

As reported in a February news item, Silkmoth developed a new personnel recruitment web site for Matalan earlier this year. Matalan have recently sought the help of Silkmoth again. The new web site has been so successful that it has attracted record numbers of people who are now enjoying fantastic careers within their Stores, Head Office and Distribution arenas. The whole recruitment process has been speeded up and more applications are being received than ever before.
In order to manage this increased workload, Silkmoth has upgraded the site to increase capacity and integrate the extra data into the company's back office systems.
This latest contract is an example of how Silkmoth continues to support its customers when the needs of the organisation change. This support also means that new technological advances can be integrated into existing sites at regular intervals.

Linder Myers is a firm of solicitors which has become one of the leading practices in the North West. Silkmoth developed the original Linder Myers (www.lindermyers.co.uk) web site two years ago. The site utilises the WireNet™ technology that Silkmoth has incorporated onto many of its clients sites (see for example www.spinal-foundation.org or www.leadmachinetools.co.uk).
The platform allows the client to add and update their own site content simply and quickly. Two key departments within the law firm have been utilising the news section of the site and adding stories on a regular basis. Careful analysis by both Silkmoth and Linder Myers revealed that as a result of this constant updating of the news sections, more people were finding the site. The knock on effect has been that more business has been generated for the clinical negligence and psychological injury departments.
Linder Myers has awarded Silkmoth the contract to extend their site in four main areas. Firstly, all departments will have their own news area where they can add stories specific to the services that they provide. Secondly, old news stories will be archived in a much more efficient way that will allow the public to access them by clicking on an archive link. In addition, changes will be made to the site so that all fee earners can have their own CV page. Finally, Linder Myers provides services to a number of ‘closed’ organisations such as police forces and trade unions and web pages will be developed that promote specific offers to individuals within these organisations. The new web site will be launched in the next few weeks and will be announced on the Silkmoth website News page.
