Macclesfield based Silkmoth, has just completed a second web site for a recruitment consultancy market leader. Meridian Business Support, is based in Altrincham but has offices nationwide. Silkmoth has many large national and multi-national companies as its clients, including many national companies in the recruitment sector.
Meridian Business Support has been a Silkmoth customer for five years and the new site replaces their first serious venture into using the web as a business tool. Having been delighted with the results first time around and following a successful refocusing of the Meridian business after a management buy out last year, Silkmoth were contacted to carry out the development of the new site.

However, this time, Meridian wanted full content management - that is, the ability to manage all of the words and pictures on the website. They wanted full control without having to rely on Silkmoth to make changes.
Since the launch of the site earlier this month it has never been easier to find a job. Simply type in a few details e.g. job title, location and salary and the web site immediately flags up a list of suitable vacancies. One phone call later puts the customer in touch with a skilled consultant and they are on the road to a career change. New jobs are being added all the time by Meridian staff which keeps the site fresh and appealing to employers and potential employees.
Silkmoth has also been able to help Meridian with its internal communications. The company has 71 branches throughout the UK and internal communications are a key aspect of the business. The new web site incorporates an intranet. The intranet is an area on their website that only their staff have access to. Each staff member has a user name and password and they can login to get details on company news and all sorts of company resources.
