Silkmoth Ltd, the web development company based in Macclesfield, has been chosen to provide a new personnel recruitment web site for Matalan, the fastest growing UK retailer.
Matalan's growth means that they are always searching for good people to join their team. But the existing web site used for recruitment was not providing enough applicants, and handling the applications was a time-consuming manual task.
Jupiter Advertising won the contract with Matalan to manage their recruitment advertising and have successfully attracted record numbers of people who are now enjoying fantastic careers within their Retail/Stores, Head Office and Distribution arenas. Jupiter made a conscious decision to position Matalan as the 'Super Retailer' and this project included redesigning the look and feel of the recruitment process on the web.
To build the web site itself, Jupiter turned to their strategic partner, Silkmoth, knowing that they would be able to provide what was required. In the project, Silkmoth will construct a new web site to attract job applicants to Matalan.
The online applications that will be captured will be fed directly into the Human Resources database at Matalan’s headquarters using an interface built by Silkmoth. The whole recruitment process will be speeded up, meaning that Matalan will be able to continue their phenomenal growth with the right staff on board.
